Описание:
Taking the derivative of a tensor is in general complicated, because the basis vectors may be nonconstant, as in the case of polar coordinates. We will skip all these complications and we will only do the case of constant rectilinear coordinates in order to avoid these problems.
However this already suffices for a lot of applications, in particular the ones I have in mind.
