This video shows you how to install a new camshaft position sensor on your 2004-2010 BMW X3. For vehicles with electronically controlled timing, a camshaft position sensor relays important information to the computer to ensure the engine is running properly. A bad sensor may relay incorrect or no information, resulting in poor running conditions and trouble codes.

This repair was done on a 2007 BMW X3 3.0si 3.0L Sport Utility 4-Door AWD and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2004 BMW X3
2005 BMW X3
2006 BMW X3
2007 BMW X3
2008 BMW X3
2009 BMW X3
2010 BMW X3

• Pocket Screwdriver
• E8 Inverted Torx Socket
• T30 Socket
• Ratchet
• Socket Extensions
