In today’s video, The Persistent Traveller team arrive in one of our absolute favourite ports of call — Kristiansand, Norway!🛳️
📍 Kristiansand is the fifth-largest city in Norway and is known for its welcoming vibe, vibrant waterfront, clean streets and beautifully preserved architecture. It feels relaxed, charming and full of personality — a perfect mix of coastal calm and cultural charm.
🎶 As we disembark P&O Britannia, we’re greeted by the most beautiful sound — a local lady singing opera to welcome passengers to her city. What a magical start!
🚂 We hop on the quirky and colourful City Train (a little land train with a small engine) which takes us on a relaxing tour around Kristiansand. You’ll see the stunning buildings, local neighbourhoods, and feel the vibe of this special city.
☕ We stop at Egon Restaurant for a warming cup of coffee and show you around this cosy and characterful place.
🏡 We even peek at some local property prices — just in case you're curious what it might cost to move here!
We pass a (very large!) Segway tour and have a few giggles before making our way back to the ship for sailaway. It’s been an absolutely lovely day — full of surprises and sights, and definitely one of our top ports on this cruise!
