This short film celebrates the wonderful and inspiring presence of Joe Miller who was a great friend of Murshid Samuel Lewis the founder of the Dances of Universal Peace.
Before Murshid S.A.M. passed away he asked Joe to take care of his "kids". He did a remarkable job of guiding many of Murshid S.A.M.'s students until he himself passed away in 1993.
Seen here is some treasured footage of Joe saying many of the things that many of us know but have never actually seen him saying or singing. One of his most famous sayings is "It can't be taught it has to be caught by being around people that have some of it!"
Another famous song is well known because we often end our Dance meetings all over the world by singing "May all beings be well, May all beings be happy, Peace, Peace, Peace". In this short film we hear Joe singing this in Golden Gate Park surrounded by hundreds of Sufi friends.
