In this month's class, we will discuss Liber LXV, Liber Cordis Cincti Serpente, "The Book of the Heart Girt with a Serpent," one of the Holy Books of Thelema, received by Aleister Crowley over the course of five successive nights in 1907. We will examine the structure of the text & take a close look at some of its most important symbols, themes, & personae. Our discussion will touch on Qabalah, mythology, ceremonial magick, the spiritual path, the nature of the Self, esoteric hermeneutics, & more, & we will draw on some of Crowley's own commentary on the text. This class will be accessible to beginners, & all are welcome to attend.
