TRADITIONAL CORNISH PASTY Recipe | English Meat Pie
This time we are making a traditional lunch that was consumed by tin miners to feed on and that is now sold as a street food throughout the country - the pasty or in my case even Cornish pasty! 😀 The pasty is regarded as the national dish of Cornwall and the term "Cornish pasty" has been in use since at least the early 1860s. It is rather huge and definitely fills you up for most of the day. I loved me a good pasty during the day just for my lunch break - delicious dough and always an incredible filling. And the most important part of the typical Cornish pasty is the crimping - a good hand crimp is usually a sign of a good handmade pasty. Hope you enjoy making these! 🙂
