Lucky Snake Arcade & Island Waterpark @ Showboat (Atlantic City, NJ) walkthrough, April 2024

Описание: To many grownups, the Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City was known as a tacky but fun Mardi Gras inspired casino for many years. With the House of Blues concert venue on the second floor, a huge buffet, hundreds upon hundreds of slot machines and table games, a poker room beloved by locals, strong mixed drinks, and plenty of live entertainment, this place felt like a home away from home for a certain crowd. Yours truly could be considered part of that crowd, participating in bother poker tournaments and live Rock Band (yeah, remember that?) competitions over the years. When AC fell on hard times, Showboat was one of the first to close up its gaming floor, while the property still lived on in a smaller capacity as only a hotel.

Then, amazingly, in the middle of a pandemic, the unthinkable happened. In 2021, the gaming floor of the Showboat reopened -- not as a casino, but as the East Coast's largest arcade, Lucky Snake. They kept a lot of the old fixtures from the casino and filled in the empty space with literally hundreds of games, as well as a mini golf course, roller skating rink, and go-kart track. This then grew into an even larger entertainment destination in 2023 with the opening of the indoor beachfront splash resort, Island Waterpark.

It blows my mind that this is ONE single property and yet the video ends up being over 30 minutes long. That's just how much they have here. While not everything is always well-maintained, the sheer amount of games is enough to keep anyone overwhelmed for their stay.
