Sindh Rangers, CTD Arrest 3 Most-Wanted TTP Militants in Korangi Anti-Terror Operation

Описание: In a major counter-terrorism breakthrough, Sindh Rangers and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) apprehended three most-wanted militants belonging to the banned outfit Fitna Al-Khawarij during an intelligence-based operation in Mehran Town, Korangi, Karachi.

According to the Rangers spokesperson, the arrested militants were affiliated with the Roman Raees and Islam Deen-led factions of the group. The suspects, who were military-trained, were sent to Karachi to carry out extortion, target killings, and acts of terrorism.

Weapons and explosives were recovered from their possession.

One of the militants, Nematullah, confessed to being an active member of the group since 2018, having received military training in Afghanistan, and previously participated in terror attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He had also served time in jail after being arrested in a 2019 terror operation.

Another militant, Noor Muhammad, joined the Islam Deen group in 2022. He was reportedly planning attacks in Karachi and had already conducted reconnaissance of key locations for future attacks.

Authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover further links and planned operations.
