After a wonderful visit with our friends on their property, getting a surprise drop by from Corey’s sister and husband and our sweet niece, and a precious event giving some local high school girls the prom of their dreams with Grand Design RV’s Impact Team, we made a plan on how to get out of our site without damaging the RV or our friends’ property.

This allowed us to go over some boondocking/moochdocking etiquette before very carefully trying to maneuver around a big obstacle in the our way.

Next up was joining in with 400 other volunteers for the RVIA event at Oxbow Park in Goshen, Indiana, put on by their Emerging Leaders Coalition. We helped clear away 5 different invasive species from the park with people from many different companies within the industry. This is what the heart of seRV With Purpose is all about! We met up with our friends, Nathan and Marissa, from Less Junk, More Journey who traveled to Indiana so Jess and Marissa could participate in one of Lippert’s RVOS (RV Owner School) courses! We invited some ladies to join us for the day, had a blast and learned so much! Marissa can bring in her slides manually now, and Jess can take apart and put together a drum break!

Knowing more about your RV not only can save you time and money (and heartache) in the end, but could also keep you and your family safe. Though it is sometimes a matter of principle to have the dealership or manufacturer take care of an issue on your RV, sometimes it is just much less of a hassle to fix it yourself, and it may help get you out of a dangerous situation quickly. There are lots of ways to learn about RV maintenance and repair. YouTube, RV technician courses or something like what Jess and Marissa did.
