It was Seminole leader Osceola who killed US Indian Agent Wiley Thompson as he left the fort for a mid-day walk right here at Fort King after years of tensions between the Florida Seminole natives and early settlers. Today, this picket fort replica stands atop a very unique hillside in Ocala, Florida which holds history deeper than you may think. So come along for this educational adventure and learn a little bit about the natives before us, and how it all came to be.
