Hi guys and welcome back to the channel.
So today I’m going to show you how to change the ESP for the Mitsubishi Electric indoor units.
This procedure by the way is intended for authorized Mitsubishi Electric technicians,
If you get value from this video give it a thumbs-up and subscribe to the channel.
With that being said let’s get right into it.
So, the reason why we want to change the ESP can be for the following:
Let’s see at this example here
For a given Indoor Unit with ESP factory setting A
That we can increase it to B, C and so on….
For this duct length the ESP A will give us the rated Airflow rate
But what if the actual length of the duct is this.
In this case the airflow rate will decrease.
So, in order to get the rated airflow again
we need to increase the ESP of the indoor unit to B.
Here is how we do it:
For the VRF indoor units wo do it by changing Dip switches, please see the attached lesson at the description.
For Split type indoor units PEAD-JAL & SEZ-KD we do it by changing function setting using the remote controller.
Lets look at the example here:
These are the ESP options for SEZ-KD and PEAD-JAL by using the combination of both mode 08 and 10
And the settings for each mode.
In this example we will change the ESP of PEAD-JAL from
factory setting of 50Pa which is mode 08 setting 3 and mode 10 setting 1
to
70Pa which is mode 08 setting 1 and mode 10 setting 2
