Watermelon laden truck destroyed in NH 6 fire incident

Описание: A truck loaded with watermelons was completely gutted after it caught fire in the early hours of Thursday along National Highway 6 at Shangbangla in Ri Bhoi District.

The vehicle, bearing registration number JK02CB4235, was reportedly on its way to Shillong when the fire broke out at around 2:30 am.

Sources said the blaze led to the watermelons being scattered across the highway. Passersby were seen stopping to collect fruits that remained intact.

Police from Nongpoh Police Station rushed to the spot and initiated an inquiry into the incident. No injuries were reported, and the driver managed to escape safely before the vehicle was engulfed in flames.
