I needed to put a small circlip groove in a piece of tube, but first had to be able to support the tube. To do this I made up a pipe centre (also known as a bullnose centre) to fit my interchangable centre set.
One alternative would have been to use a fixed steady, but without an end constraint, end float may be an issue
