I've designed and 3D-printed a parallel charger for two batteries featuring snap-fit joints, so no additional fasteners are needed. Noice.
Of course 3D printing alone does not charge a battery! Always wanted to get my hands on the infamous TP4056 modules to try charging some batteries I have for an upcoming project.
This video I'm making the charger to fit the smaller 10440 batteries rather than some of the more popular 18650 batteries so I needed to make some changes to the TP4056 itself.
Said changes was swapping the resistor on the TP4056 module to extend the 10440 batteries lifespan or prevent it from potentially blowing up?
For cheaper prices, check AliExpress Choice or Shopee for TP4056 modules and battery holders. I got both for around RM1 each, plus resistors for RM0.10 each. The total cost of components, excluding the 3D print, is RM4.20 which converts to about 1 USD
Anyway, I'd love to hear your thoughts if you do try this out!
