India Cancels 21,000 Crore US Deal | Big Blow to America | P-8I Poseidon Controversy

Описание: India has taken a bold and strategic decision by cancelling the P-8I Poseidon aircraft deal with the United States. 🇮🇳✈️
The Boeing-manufactured P-8I Poseidon is a crucial naval surveillance aircraft used for tracking enemy submarines and warships, especially in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR).

India already operates 12 P-8I aircraft and had earlier signed a contract for 6 more aircraft worth ₹21,000 crore. However, due to delays in supply and an unjustified 50% price hike, the United States attempted to pressure India by demanding a much higher cost for the same deal.

With rising Chinese submarine activity and increasing geopolitical tensions, maritime surveillance is vital for India’s national security. Instead of yielding to pressure tactics, the Government of India chose strategic autonomy, clearly stating that India will focus on Make in India and indigenous defence manufacturing.

This decision reflects India’s growing confidence, self-reliance, and commitment to protecting its sovereignty.
