In Delhi’s Bela Estate, residents say their names disappeared from the electoral rolls even though they continued living in the area and had voted in previous elections. Of 729 voters listed before the Special Intensive Revision, 728 were left out of the draft roll. Kamal Lal and other residents say they submitted their forms but were not told why their names were missing. Rahul Gandhi visited the settlement and raised questions about the exclusions. Their experience also raises a broader question about voter deletions that took place in Delhi even before the formal SIR exercise began.
