Another awesome dyno day here at Bluespark HQ, this time coming from a Stage 1 ECU Remapping of this BMW M140i.
With the car now way out of warranty, the customer wished to go for a remap, adding a couple of features not possible with just our tuning boxes.
The B58 engine is always great fun for us to work with. It speaks for itself for those who are familiar with the power this can already deliver from stock. Putting out 373hp on the dyno along with 550Nm of torque, you can agree that these are some serious figures from a hot-hatch. Stock figures are slightly higher here than BMW claim (at 340hp & 500Nm) but that isn't especially unusual for one of these as they can usually push strong stock figures beyond what BMW claim.
Using our Autotuner system we applied a stage 1 remap. It then went for a tuned run on the dyno and produced some pretty decent gains.
Peak power had a great increase, now running at the 430hp mark with 644Nm of torque, really transforming the car with some next level power.
