"PODS" LOGIC: Deliver a POD and leave TWO EMPTY PODs behind

I've been told PODS has a staffing shortage which has left people with empty PODS in front of their homes for days.

In my case I moved into a brand new apartment complex in Dacula, GA. When my POD was ready for pickup on Saturday June 25, 2022 the earliest pickup date offered was the following Thursday (June 30).

There are 240 new residents moving into this complex. Empty PODS taking up multiple parking spots like this makes moving in harder for everyone.

A second POD arrived a few days ago.... And I noticed a third arriving this morning.

One would think the driver who dropped off the latest POD would then pick up an empty POD and take it back to the warehouse.

That is not how things work in the world of PODS. In this clip my POD is the one on the left.. and is left behind (same for the second empty POD a few parking spaces away. )

I chatted with the PODS delivery person who said its just how PODS operates. He then drove off without any cargo.

So you know, PODs operates out of Forest Park, GA South of Hartsfield Jackson Airport. Thats a 47 mile trip from Dacula (right now WAZE shows it as more than an hour drive).

Failure to take an empty POD back ends up costing more than two hours of a driver's time and more than 90 miles of unnecessary travel in the midst of the highest gas prices weve ever seen.

Whoever is the brains behind PODs logistics must be proud to have created a system that wastes so much money, time and fuel.. While pissing off customers who are forced to look at an empty POD in front of their home for days and days.
