Yup, it's not an iconic Mopar that fuels my parts business It is now one of only two Ford flavored cars in my yard. If I am going to stray from the usual, it has to be something rare and unusual, and this car fits that expectation. My business, Essig Enterprises, is a predominately Mopar fueled business. We started selling parts for anything and everything but found that Mopar's brought the most business. However, there are exceptions to every rule and I am hoping this model, which was made for only two years is that exception. I bought a 66 Fairlane a few years back it turned a decent profit. Again, it was a two year only design.
Needless to say, we packed up the truck and headed west. I have always liked the early Torino's. Not so much the later years in spite of the fact that I owned a 1975 as a teen. The pictures looked promising, but I learned long ago that pictures can be deceiving. Nonetheless, the price of this rare beast left me with very low expectations. Hang with me and my lovely wife as we head out to buy this car. Unless it turned out to be a complete rust bucket with no useable parts, we were prepared to buy it regardless. You will have to watch to see if we score big or wasted a trip. Oh, and the beauty in the thumbnail was there as well but not for sale. Enjoy
