This gentle love song song was written by John Denver about the pain of parting; it was a hit for him as well as the US folk group "Peter, Paul and Mary." More recently it featured in "Glee."
This gentle and pretty arrangement is for three-part mixed choir. There is one male voice line which will suit all voices, tenor or bass and it is written in two clefs to suit all singers. The alto line splits in the choruses.
Verses one and two follow the same form, verse three is more reflective and unusually the men get plenty of the melody. It is catagorised as intermediate in difficulty but it is at the easier end of the scale.
