It’s officially rained every single day of 2026 so far in the UK, and today I’m taking you to one of the most picturesque towns in North Yorkshire to see how it looks under a blanket of mist and rain.
Join me for a 17-minute atmospheric walk through Knaresborough. We start at the Castle Yard, explore the medieval ruins, and catch that iconic view of the railway viaduct over the River Nidd. Then, we head down the steep "slacks" to the riverside cafes and walk past the famous Mother Shipton’s cave.
There is something incredibly peaceful about this town when the crowds are thin and the river is rushing.
