Описание: On September 1, 2024, Pullman Police Officers were dispatched to Walmart, where loss prevention personnel were detaining 3 individuals accused of shoplifting. All three were observed on security camera "under ringing" merchandise at self-checkout. The two women were accused of stealing $134.96 worth of merchandise, while the man was accused of stealing $106.23 worth of merchandise. They were issued lifetime bans from Walmart and were released pending further investigation by loss prevention personnel. Over the course of the next few days, Walmart personnel were able to utilize a system to find past transactions where the same form of payment was used. It was discovered that the trio had come to the store and shoplifted at least 12 times in the prior 60 days. Emma was alleged to have stolen a total of $839.94 during that time, Madison was accused of stealing $770.56 during that time, and Jonah allegedly stole $589.99. Officer Padrta requested that the Whitman County Prosecutor file felony Organized Retail Theft (2nd degree) charges against the 2 women and a misdemeanor Theft (3rd degree) charge against the male suspect. Their cases are still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
