Central American Gyre: The hurricane factory

Описание: The Central American Gyre is one of the most important setups to watch in the tropics. It’s a large area of counterclockwise rotation over Central America that creates widespread unsettled weather, and in June it’s one of the main ways early-season storms get their start.

Wilma and Michael are two of the most extreme examples of what these gyres can produce.
