We have a bit of a snake problem here on the homestead. Rat snakes have been getting into our chicken coop and eating our eggs!
Wanting a safer way to catch and identify snakes for relocation, and having a blacksmith shop at my disposal, I hammer out a pair of snake hooks from a couple pieces of 1/2" square stock to replace the flimsy pet store hook we got with our pet snake.
This project took a great deal of drawing work which can get a bit tedious, so I took the opportunity to try out some different drawing techniques. Originally wanted to make something basic and ended up doing a little more than I intended with some decorated handles.
