Описание: A short video of Smitty's. Sorry about the wind noise. Smitty's was a drive-in restaurant in Albany, KY about five miles north of the Tennessee line in southern Kentucky. It was owned by James "Smitty" Smith and was in operation from May 18, 1962 until July 4, 2000. Many great memories of eating here as a kid when I would come down to Albany to visit my grandparents. The burgers and onion rings were some of the best I've ever had! Smitty's was always a busy place on Friday and Saturday nights as it seemed like EVERYONE was here. They had car hops who would come up to your window to take your order. You could also eat inside, and I still remember the green vinyl covered booths and the old jukebox near the entrance. Smitty's has sat abandoned now for almost 20 years, but it was in operation for over 38 years! Wish someone would buy the place and open it back up.
