China’s Guangzhou Shipyard International has completed building the world’s first double ended roll on-roll off luxury passenger ship. The vessel is owned by the British company P and O Ferries and will operate primarily between the Port of Dover in the UK and the Port of Calais in northern France. Featuring a breakthrough in shipbuilding, the vessel has a wheelhouse on both the stern and the bow which lets it sail in both directions. The two-way navigation mode reduces the amount of time it takes the ship to berth and leave the port.
