In this video, doctoral student Amirtha explains how she uses a technique called expansion microscopy to visualise cytoskeletal architecture in neural progenitor cells. By revealing finer structural details, she looks for subtle disruptions in the cytoskeleton - changes that are often invisible using conventional imaging. This research asks how early cellular changes may be linked to psychiatric symptoms.
