Next, I have two Warner Bros. cartoon music score suites for you all! First off, we have the 1937 "Looney Tunes" short "Get Rich Quick Porky", written and directed by Bob Clampett and starring Porky Pig and Gabby in the latter's final appearance.
This is the fourth and final "Looney Tunes" cartoon produced at Ub Iwerks' animation studio, but Iwerks himself wasn't involved in this one due to his dissatisfaction with working on the series. He left the series during production of "Porky's Badtime Story", which Clampett finished, marking his directorial debut.
Both that cartoon and "Get Rich Quick Porky" had Chuck Jones as an assistant director, but upon returning to Leon Schlesinger Productions, he began growing a dislike of Clampett after working on his unit. Jones soon began directing his own cartoons after Frank Tashlin left the studio.
"Looney Tunes" is a property of Warner Bros. Pictures and Warner Bros. Cartoons. The Reedster does NOT own anything in this video.
