Kendal Castle. Not just a ruin on a hill

Описание: Kendal castle in Cumbra. More than just a ruin on a hill. First built of timber in the 12th century and upgraded in the 13th on a drumlin formed in the last ice age. The castle has commanding views over the lands its Baron's once governed. Once owned by the Parr family whose most famous member was Katherine Parr, the 6th and final wife of the infamous Henry the eighth.
