Important announcement: Moving forward I will be doing weekly briefs instead of the daily briefs for sustainability (these will be posted every Sunday morning at 5am PT - starting this Sunday (7.12.20)). 👊 Please leave comments on topic ideas that you would like me to address in the coming weeks.
Today’s topic digs into the saying, “One day. One lifetime.” This insight comes from my Seido Karate mentor, Tadashi Nakamura. The essence is to live each day as if it could be your last. What decisions would you make? How would you treat others? What specific things would you do to make sure you are meeting your mission? What can you do to further master yourself and serve today so that you don’t leave without any regrets as if this were your last day .... The second part is that you need to plan as if you’re going to life forever. This means that you should have a long-term vision, a long-term mission, and you must know what your purpose is in life. Continuous evolution in order to fulfill your calling and serve in whatever way you’re karmically destined to. Live every day as if you’re going to die tonight, but plan as if you’re going to live forever. Every day, in every way, stronger and better, hooyah hey! Stay focused 👊
