Описание: It was time to see whether the boat was adequately outfitted to spend more than one day on the water. Drinking water, food, cookware, lighting/batteries, clothing, weather, water conditions, instruments/electronics, bedding, etc. It takes time to get everything together. find a spot to store it, and try not to forget something important. Also my first time setting anchor. Lots to plan for while also keeping weight to a minimum.

The smoke from the Western fires spoiled the environment. And, recent flooding south of us caused an extensive amount of debris to be carried to and down the rivers and deposited in the Lake. The debris was everywhere! Impossible to avoid in some areas. I was busy dodging the debris and not able to take video - couldn't avoid all of it but aimed to miss the biggest stuff.

While driving over the bridge on the way to the launch area I glanced down at the river and noticed what seemed to be turbulence; similar to what one would see from a freighter bow thruster. It never occurred to me that it was turbulence from the flood waters flowing through. And the murkiness of the water did not allow me to see the logs and such being carried along. (I would not have wanted to try to go upstream against the battering rams coming downstream.) It just did not occur to me there was a serious issue until after I had launched and was in the harbor. Even the debris piling up at launch was not yet a true indicator of the extent of the debris, even with one log entirely blocking one of the three launch ramps.

Cold drinking water is the next problem to solve. Drinking warm water is just not refreshing for me. I don’t want to deal with ice, and its’ melting after a short period of time. Mini 12 volt refrigerators are available and I am looking at them, but space is limited. Powering one should not be an issue as the 50 watt photo panel and LiFePo battery combination seem more than adequate so far.
