At its 44 oz totally loaded weight, no other pistol even comes close to this power and number of rounds. However these are no hand cannons and should not be mistaken for a rifle or shotgun substitute. But when SAWC is at a premium and the adversary is powerful and threatens your destruction, like a grizzly bear, it's a smart choice. The Glock 21 ballistics, not far behind with certain +P loads, isn't far behind the G20 in power and is a proven performer. It is incredibly accurate. I would choose it readily over any 1911 for a GTW pistol option. Value is superb on both models, especially in Blue Label LE models. However on both accounts, the ammo is very expensive; a considerable downside in some POUs. Nevertheless, G20 or G21 are a wise choice when maximum power AND firepower are sought and your system can accommodate somewhat increased weight and width.
