I have always looked up to my big brother (even though we would fight a lot😂, like a lot, actual physical fights 🤦🏻‍♂️).

He grew up liking rap and I grew up liking rock. He quit band, I went into it as a career. The list goes on, but as we grew older we became much closer and there were tons of laughs. When he liked music I liked it was like some kind of weird alternate reality that I loved so much. We would listen to DMB, Coldplay, etc and sing along and make up silly harmonies in his blue ford escort. That was a special time for me for some reason, like I had his approval or something. It was probably special because I realized it could have been like that earlier and I felt like I missed out on more good times and I knew life would change soon as we moved into adulthood.

I admire him because he is strong in his convictions and doesn’t back down. If Carlos has an opinion, then my gut tells me that it is 100% correct. I miss him terribly (he lives in Australia) and I’m embarrassed to say I went into a full blown crying fit about a month ago thinking about him when I heard this Coldplay song (I really like this song and it’s a short interlude on the album but he is the one that told me that there was a full song with lyrics out there).

My children and my wife had to console me and I finally caught my breath just to utter “I just miss my brother.” Carlos, I hope you enjoy this video and dedication (with my beginner bass skills 😂.)
