A Police funeral for late Inspector Chan Sze-ki was held at the Universal Funeral Parlour in Hung Hom today.
Secretary for the Civil Service Clement Cheung and Commissioner of Police Stephen Lo were among the mourners.
Draped with the Hong Kong Police flag, Mr Chan’s casket was driven to Gallant Garden at Wo Hop Shek Cemetery for the burial service, after his colleagues had paid their last respects.
The veteran officer was battling cancer and died at the end of August.
In 1992, Mr Chan was seriously injured in a shoot-out with armed robbers in Tai Kok Tsui. He recovered, but had lost his sense of smell and part of his sense of taste.
