Banggai cardinal fish (Pterapogon kauderni); Restricted to the Banggai Islands of Indonesia, It is the only member of its genus. They are mouth brooders, and the male holds the eggs. After hatching the fry will stay in the males mouth. Fry will grow in the mouth and leave when large enough. Banggai Cardinals have a strong association with longspine urchins, They will swim amongst the spines to use them as cover. However they are not fussy on
the species of urchin in captivity, They do this for protection from predators.
