Описание: People on the AV forums get so excited about a flat anechoic chamber frequency response on high end speakers. It's nice to have as a starting ground, but it really doesn't amount to much once the speakers are placed in room. I'll demonstrate that in this quick video. Notice that moving the mic around less than a foot in circumference from the initial position results in 10dB swings of frequency response at nearly every frequency. This is in a large room, with some modest treatments. The closer one gets to the boundaries of the room, the more dramatic the frequency response changes would be! It just goes to show, that the room controls the speaker's sound, more than the speaker itself.
