An Unforgettable Two Day Road Trip

Описание: Greetings from sunny South Africa! In this week’s video we take you with us on an unforgettable two day road trip.

We’ve not yet explored the Northern Cape before so we were so excited to go on this road trip and pop our exploring boots on.

We planned some fun stops and activities to do along the way. Overall our road trip was lots of fun! We really enjoyed travelling with our new friend Josh who has been given a really awesome filming opportunity which we will talk more about in our next video.

For the first leg of the journey, we travelled from Durban to Bloemfontein and then from Bloemfontein to Augrabies. We travelled a total of 1 308 kms. Bloemfontein is very special to us, as this is where we first met and we were so excited to spend a night there.

Our first stop was Windmills. Windmills is located just off the N3 Nottingham Road offramp. They offer a free coffee for the driver of every vehicle that passes through. Windmills forms part of the famous Midlands Meander. You can enjoy freshly baked bread, pies, and lots of other goodies at this beautiful stop.

We also stopped in at Clarens where we stumbled upon the Courtyard Bakery. The Courtyard Bakery is located in the heart of this small artsy town called Clarens. You can find this quirky bakery right in the square of town. The bakery stocks delicious baked goods such as pies and even milktart which was to die for. It is a small family run business and you can really taste the love with each and every bite.

It was a long drive on the road but we really enjoyed the special experiences that we shared.

Our tips for going on a raodtrip:
◾Snacks, snacks, and more snacks. We don’t know how, but the minute your bum hits the seat you’re hungry and it’s great to have something to munch on.
◾ Be sure to plan ahead and see if there are any fun places you can stop off on your way. We truly believe that the journey to your destination is a part of the whole experience so we like to make our road trips fun and enjoyable.
◾Good jams make the time fly. They also work really well to get your head bopping and put you in a good mood.
