At high school, a group of childhood and school friends starts getting together to play music under the name 'Radioactivos Neurosos'. They experiment with drum machines and keyboards, even recording some of their sessions.
After going through various lineup changes due to the departure of some original members, the band stabilizes in 1982. They decide to change their name to 'Funeraria Vergara.'
Influenced by emerging bands like Joy Division, Bauhaus, The Residents, Décima Víctima, and Los Iniciados, they find themselves more drawn to keyboards than guitars, fascinated by the sinister wave of electronic and industrial music. In their lyrics, they create atmospheres ranging from necrophilia with a large dose of humor to provocation and absurdity.
Several decades after their disappearance, the Barcelona-based record label Domestica rescues a substantial part of their tracks from 1982 to 1984 on the album 'Después de un día antes'
