8 hours on the bike from Bangalore, 10 hours on the trail, and a lot of time spent wondering why I even left my couch.
I called this the Trek of the Fallen because, for a while, I was one of them. Between a B12 deficiency that felt like it stole my body and kept me inside for months, I’d forgotten what it felt like to actually move. I’d gained weight, lost my rhythm, and honestly, I was terrified to see if I still had it in me.
This isn't a "how-to" guide or a cinematic travel film. It’s just 18 hours of me and a friend arguing with the rain, slipping in the mud, and trying to remember how to breathe again.
For anyone who has stopped "going out" because of an incident, an illness, or just a heavy head: I get it. The couch is safe, but the mountain doesn't care about your excuses. It’s brutal and it’s exhausting, but sometimes you need the fresh air to realize you’re still here.
Even when it feels impossible, you just have to keep going.
