This music video follows an aspiring Mime, channeling Marcel Marceau and the art of pantomime, as he journeys through the self and the city.
Of mime, Marceau says that this art ‘speaks to the heart through tragic and comic situations also with the creation of a style’. This film project aims to do the the same. The song 'CHASSÉ CHASSÉ' is an exploration of universal themes, such as the ever ongoing evolution of self. It represents the many hats and faces we wear as we evolve through our experiences and connections over time. Of his film ‘The Maskmaker', Marcel Marceau describes that the mask ’represents humanity with all the faces humanity can possess’ He speaks about wearing masks as both a way of hiding as well as a way to ‘recreate symbols of life’. With such themes in mind, we found the art of pantomime and an ode to Marceau’s ‘Maskmaker' to be fitting visual companions to the music. The flowers growing throughout are also a symbol of evolution, growth, love, beauty, sensuality and also of patience.
