Mombasa is a Coastal City in the Southern East Kenya alongside Indian Ocean. It was the first capital city of British Africa before Nairobi was elevated to capital status in 1907
The town is also known as the "White and blue city" in the country. It's the country's oldest and second largest town after Nairobi, with a population of more than 1.5 million
However, from the good and beautiful side of Mombasa City, Drugs have been the major hindrance in the running of the city. Mombasa being among the major tourist attractions destinations makes it vulnerable to underground trade of illicit drugs and harbours a large number of drug barons , peddlers , abusers and addicts.
The most commonly abused drugs in Mombasa is Heroine, Cocaine and Bhang, This drug abuse is a major contributor to crime and violence in Mombasa.
It's advised to stay away from Mombasa's Oldest town because you run the risk of being in danger, for instance areas like Kisauni and Mshomoroni due to the high rate of drug abuse among youth. It's a advisable for you to avoid driving in this area.
