NYC Jones a dark comedy

Описание: This is the newly made "director's cut" from the original film "keeping up with Jones". It is 18 minutes shorter (now 30 minutes) and has the alternate ending never seen before. It Stars: Alphonso Cooper, Jaime Affoumado and Sarena Kennedy; as the homeless man, the filmmaker and the journalist. And also features: John Steward (street friend), Jimmy Clisset (subway musician), Alan Scott and Judith Robinson (opera ticket buyers), Richie Thorpe (college radio DJ), Brooks Kerr (blind drug dealer), Neil Gallagher (college professor), and Gregory Brown (silent man in park scene at night).
The music is by the brilliant and talented composer Scott Eyerly, Editing by Stryoo (Davorin Tomsic). The camera work was by me, the sound work was by me and a team of itinerants who came and went and are listed in final credits. Special thanks to Lloyd Griffin who listened to my story and helped me write it into script form. Lloyd and I wrote the dialogue together and that was perhaps the most fun we ever had, except for hanging out at Cannes. The original movie was very much a collective process over the course of three plus years. However, as the old adage goes, "A camel is a horse designed by a committee".
There was too much writing, too much shooting, too much editing and adding and reshooting. I am the guilty party, I let it run away from me. It was my fault and my responsibility. The truth is, you can not please everyone. I tried. I even changed the spelling of my last name to Slonimsky in the opening credits because the Croatian sound design guys in Zagreb wanted me to be one of them. That's how crazy one can become in an attempt to make friends while making a movie. It's hard. So, here is the clean, fresh, new director's cut, the way it was supposed to be all along. And finally, a big thanks to Ricardo de Olivera who designed the book jacket, and Peter Soter who let me use his bookstore and dress up a window one wintery night. Great friends all! I could not have made this film without the help of everyone. It came about because of human love and kindness. I am grateful to everyone.
