The proposal includes a contract for 26 Rafale Marine fighter jets, with an emphasis on local production facilities, potentially in Hyderabad. Additionally, the Defence Minister recently inaugurated the H125 helicopter assembly facility in Vemagal, Karnataka, a joint venture between Tata and Airbus. This facility marks India's first private sector helicopter assembly line, reinforcing the shift from government-led to private-sector manufacturing.
