New Super Mario Bros. is a side-scrolling 2.5D platform game first released for the Nintendo DS in the United States on May 15, 2006, starring Mario and Luigi.
It is the tenth entry in the Super Mario series.
The game features a solo story mode with Mario or Luigi, a two-player wireless Mario Vs. Luigi mode, and a minigame mode for up to four players.
New Super Mario Bros. is the first Super Mario platformer to be originally released outside Japan since Super Mario Bros. 2.
