This video, like a lot of mine, covers some inexplicably dark subjects for a series for kids. It turns out lots of books just get dark, especially the bad ones, and maybe our understanding of what is appropriate for kids is based on an overly sanitized, advertiser-friendly, capitalist mindset. Huh! Though honestly, Max Ride does go to some places I really don't think it should have.
I cover subjects as they appear, and while it is not necessarily explicit, it still is something you should be aware of going in. Decide for yourself if you are able to engage with this video. This is a series about kids who were experimented on as children and unethical german scientists and also the end of the world, and it crosses over most major potentially triggering subjects as it does so- see the card in the video, or scroll down for the exact timestamp.
