In this video I show you how the acrylic pouring swirl technique for beginners works.
First I mix acrylic paint with a pouring medium in a 50/50 ratio. For this canvas I decided to use six colours. You can also use more or less. I used the black colour to make the paint flow better which worked very well.
When stacking the colours, make sure the paint runs down the side of the cup so that it doesn't mix too much with the other layers of paint when you pour it in. You can do the swirl movements in small and large circles, both will give different effects. I chose small movements.
A little tip: let the mixed paint stand for a few hours so that the air bubbles can escape and do not spread over the picture. Unfortunately, this happened to me with this painting. If it happens to you, too, you can try to remove them carefully with a flambé burner.
