One of my favorite things about my smart home is my lighting, which I can turn off using my voice alone. That certainly makes things easier when I’m lying in bed, too tired to move, or when I need to turn on the kitchen light but my hands are filled with groceries. Of course, it would make things much easier if all of your smart lighting is from one company, allowing you to control it from one app. That’s why, before you start buying smart bulbs willy nilly, it’s important to settle on a brand first.

Now, overall, I’m a fan of #Hue bulbs over #LIFX. Not only do they have geofencing, which most LIFX bulbs lack, but they also have more smart platform integrations, lamp and bulb shapes and sizes, plus a higher-rated app for both iPhones and Androids.
