Do you feel pressure or pain behind your eyes… plus neck pain or headaches?
If your eye doctor says everything looks normal, this can actually be coming from your neck.
👀 What’s really happening:
The upper neck (C1–C3) has nerves that communicate with the brain and eyes.
When those joints or tissues get irritated, your brain can interpret it as eye pressure, light sensitivity, blurred vision, or that heavy, swollen feeling—even when the eyes themselves are fine.
🧠 Step 1: Calm the irritation
Start with gentle forehead strokes from the center out to the sides.
Then repeat the same slow, firm strokes along the eyebrows.
Move to the temples, gliding from top to bottom.
Finish by softly dragging from the inner eye area out toward the hairline and under the eyes.
This helps reduce pressure, swelling, and irritation.
🧍♀️ Step 2: Release the upper neck
Place your thumbs at the base of the skull where it meets the neck.
As you slowly look down, drag your thumbs downward at the same time.
This helps unload tension in the upper cervical area that often drives eye symptoms.
💪 Step 3: Retrain the neck
With a band placed under the chin, gently pull downward and activate the front of the neck.
Strengthening these muscles helps decompress the back of the neck and restore more optimal movement patterns.
If eye pressure keeps coming back, it’s your nervous system asking for better input.
These steps help calm things down and retrain the system instead of just chasing symptoms. Give this a try!
