Northeast Ohio weather forecast: More storms again late today

Описание: Your 6 p.m. Northeast Ohio weather forecast for May 16, 2025: It's been another warm day with highs into the low 80s for many areas. This is our last really warm day for a while. Things will be changing into the weekend.

Severe storms are developing to our southwest this afternoon. We could see a shower or storm popping this evening, but our better rain potential will come from the leftovers of the activity to our southwest. Those storms could still pack a punch tonight, especially the further west you are.

You'll notice some of these stronger storms could get into northern Ohio later this evening into tonight. Damaging winds would be the primary risk -- something we'll have to keep an eye on.

We're severe weather clear after that as cooler air wraps into the area Saturday. We'll have gusty winds on Saturday with falling humidity hour-by-hour. Clouds will increase as we get into the "swirl" part of this large storm system. Scattered rain can't be ruled out as the clouds take over and temps slowly drop through the 60s.

Sunday looks cloudy and cool with highs in the 50s to low 60s. This will be great weather, albeit on the cool side, for area runners competing in the Cleveland Marathon on Sunday morning. We should stay dry with a cool breeze off the lake.
