This procedure is crucial for ensuring the long-term and efficient operation of the shock absorbers. Dust boots protect the shock absorber rod from dust, dirt, and moisture, preventing premature wear of the rod and sealing elements. If the Lexus front shock absorber is damaged, makes noise, or is leaking, it urgently needs to be repaired or replaced.
It’s important to remember that replacing dust boots or shock absorbers requires care: after installation, alignment of the suspension angles is necessary. If you notice a squeaky shock absorber, a leaking shock absorber, or other issues such as suspension noise when turning, it may indicate the need for replacement.
